The forum “Physics is an ever young science” took place on October 27-29 in “Kamchia” wellness center in Varna, Bulgaria. It was organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science by the Bulgarian Union of Physicists with Varna Municipality, Varna Technical University and Varna Science and Technology Union as co-organizers.

Two organizing committees were responsible for the running of the event:

The emphasis of the Forum was on the partnership with the young people in science and education aimed at attracting them towards higher education, scientific research and discoveries in physics.

Its work was organized in two directions: Section A: Partnership in Science / lecturer – Student and/or Scientist – Young Researcher, PhD-Student; Section B: Partnership in Education / School Teacher – Student.

The participants enriched their personal and professional portfolio through the various joint papers submitted by teams of University teacher/researcher PhD student/student and school teacher-student. These papers showed the active participation of physics and astronomy teachers in the realization of the policy of their schools and in their professional and carrier development.

A master-class with the participation of coaches from Foundation Materica took place during the Forum. There different ways of creating a motivating environment in education in physics were discussed and displayed, such as informal education, education through experience, project based education.

More than 200 physicists - teachers and students, university students and lecturers, young scientists and PhD-students took part in the event. They presented their research activities in contemporary physics: new materials, nanotechnology, photonics, innovation and technology, alimentation physics, health and ecology, etc. There were also over 100 oral and poster presentations in the two sections.
